After three consecutive days of cold, strong winds and rain the sun came out yesterday – the last official day of CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting). Queen Elizabeth II left Malta in the afternoon and delegates will be returning to their homeland as from today. Thankfully the event ended without any trouble. Some scheduled outdoor events were cancelled or held indoors because of the inclement weather. I wasn’t there to take photos because I do not give importance to these events.
This is a shot I took of Valletta from Tigne’ in Sliema as the sun came out of the clouds.
Joke: Husband to wife: “Today is a fine day”. Next day he says: “Today is a fine day”. Again next day, he says same thing: “Today is a fine day”. Finally after a week, the wife can't take it and asks her husband: “Since last week, you have been saying ‘Today is a fine day’. I am fed up. What's the matter?"
Husband: “Last week when we had an argument, you said, ‘I will leave you one fine day’. I was just trying to remind you."
Many thanks for all the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture. Very much appreciated.
Dione did noticed that your city made the news in a big way, lovely city and love the river. Great capture love thesunrays creeping through the clouds.
Great view on the city and a beautiful capture of it . Love the lighting.
In Paris start the World climate convention. I wonder if they can save the world. Have a big doubt.
