Shot taken on 25th October, the last day of our last but one week-end in Gozo.
This is a picture of Nadur as seen from my sister’s apartment’s back balcony. Separating Nadur from Xagħra (pron. Shara) , where my sister has her apartment, there is a beautiful fertile valley ending with a sandy beach which among Maltese is known as IR-RAMLA or IR-RAMLA L- ĦAMRA (the Red Sandy Beach), a very popular beach both with locals and with tourists.
Joke: Joe from Xagħra and Tony from Nadur met everyday at the Nadur village square for a coffee.
One day Tony didn't show up. Joe didn’t worry about it for the first time but when this went on for weeks he got really worried that something had happened to Tony. He was unable to check on him because he didn’t know where he lived.
A month had passed, and Joe figured he had seen the last of Tony, but one day, to his surprise he saw him sitting down at the usual coffee shop. Very happy to see him Joe affectionately hugged Tony. After a while he said, ‘For crying out loud Tony, what in the world happened to you?
Tony replied, 'I have been in jail.'
'Jail!' cried Joe. What in the world for?'
'Well,' Tony said, 'you know Jane, that cute little blonde waitress that used to work at this coffee shop?'
'Yeah,' said Joe, 'I know her. What about her?
'Well, one day she filed rape charges against me; and, at 95 years old, I was so proud that when I got into court, I pleaded ‘guilty’. The damn judge gave me 30 days for perjury’.
