CRANES, CRANES GO AWAY

Cranes, Cranes Go Away
Don’t you dare come back again.

Tower cranes all around my beautiful bay. A lot of construction projects are going on around Malta which are changing the face of my beautiful Island – not sure it is for the better.
My winter walk takes me round all the coastline here. In summer, every morning (since I have retired), after we jump in, my friends and I swim from one side of the bay to the other and back, watchful in case boats come in unexpectedly without noticing us. There are markers around bathing areas to protect bathers from boats but we just ignore them.

A beautiful bay but as you say those big cranes do spoil the view --A blot on the landscape as they say !! I hope the new buildindgs and developments will not be too awful . It seems to happen every where Dione . It also happens here where perfect little villages are expanded and merge into one another so that there is no green land to be seen or enjoy !

Yes, I notice that when I was recently in Malta, and was trying to avoid them in my shots. On the other hand they are a sign of progress.

Fantastic evening light. Cranes are a pain but construction keep lots of workers employed. There's always a question over the impact.
