The second day of our vacation was the day when I took most pictures. It took me almost a week to process them slightly on the computer.
This is one of the pictures I took of the vast grounds of the palace before entering the ‘water games area’. The "watergames" were conceived by Markus Sittikus, Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg and owner of the palace, who was a man with a keen sense of humour. Here he used to play practical jokes on his guests with hidden spouts of water which he controlled. Near each ‘game’ there is a spot which is never hit by the water: that is where the Archbishop stood or sat. Many of us succumbed to these pranks - Christine and I didn’t.
