STILL HALF WAY TO GO

From the 4th day of our vacation (24/07/2016). The Pasterze again.
See that couple on the rock? They weren’t even half way down yet. If you enlarge you can see people down by the melting ice appearing like little dots. I was a third of the way down when I took this shot.
Such a pity to see the length of the glacier currently decreasing about 10 m (33 ft) each year. Its volume diminished by half since the first measurements in 1851.

A wonderful view - it sounds like quite an adventure to walk all the way down too.
