NIRNEXXU

Meaning ‘We will succeed’. The full text is ‘Together we will succeed’; this was the slogan used by the Nationalist Party, the party in opposition for this year’s Independence Day celebrations organised by the party.
And this is Dr. Simon Busuttil, the leader of the party and leader of the opposition in the House of Representatives giving his speech for the occasion. I was among the packed crowd around 30 metres from the rostrum when I took this shot and I think it came out pretty well. I had to raise my camera as far as possible above my head to take this shot.
Simon, as he is affectionately known by supporters, is Doctor of Laws, has an MA in European Studies and is Magister Juris in International Law. He served two terms as a Member of Parliament in the EU Parliament before becoming leader of the Nationalist Party.
Many thanks for viewing and for your comments and fav's on yesterday's picture. We have been advised that we will not have internet connection this day because of maintainance work on the system so I had to post early. Will comment on your photos as soon as I can.
