From a site on the internet I found the exact time when the super moon would be appearing over the horizon – it said 17.17 and I left home early afraid I might meet parking problems. I was at Għar id-Dud, Sliema, at around 16.15. I chose the place for its location facing north but with a vista which goes from north west to north east so that I wouldn’t miss the moon for sure. The moon was on time but clouds spoiled the view, often even hiding the moon completely.
These are three of the many shots I took and I don’t like them.
Thank you for viewing and for your comments and fav on yesterday’s picture.
Well, you could see more of the super moon when it rose than we could here in York, where thick cloud made it invisible. It wasn't until after midnight that the cloud started to break and I got a few shots of the moon high in the sky. I like your three shots, they make a lovely collage!
understand your disappointment Dionne. Your collages are magnificent. Great how you captured the moon behind those clouds! Does add good interest.
Well done
Our sky was all covered with clouds so there is no moon to watch. Have to waith till nex time.
(I can capture them by squat on the ground . The camera on the floor and turn the screen so i can see it.)
I understand your disappointment. I missed the Blood Moon last fall because of clouds. But I do think the lower left is a decent shot. It's like the moon is playing hide and seek with you.
We didn't get to see the moon at all - it's been completely overcast here.
You got a good selection of shots - I think clouds can enhance a picture of the moon. I particularly like the one at bottom left.
