ARMY RATIONS by sangwann

ARMY RATIONS

Anyone remember these rations issued to British soldiers decades ago? I don’t because I was never interested in army life. These items are exhibited at the Military Museum in the soldiers’ quarters of Fort Rinella.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
My father and grandfather were both in the army and my eldest brother elisted too. When Michael came home on leave he would bring his rations to share. We siblings had a real feast as we thought they were pretty special. There was no mutton though, mainly dark chocolate & dry biscuits.

Cool collage Dione, my husband was in the army, and used to bring home his 'rat packs'. Best thing in them was the lemonade powder!

Nice collage. My grandfather used to tell me about the WWI rations. My father hardly ever mentioned the WWII rations.
