We went to Rabat (Gozo) in the evening for mass and I told the others to pass through a street/alley different from the previous day to get to our cars. I was rewarded when we took this very dimly lit alley and we saw this man sitting on a chair with this beautiful owl on his arm enjoying the evening peace. We stopped to talk to him and I asked if I could take a shot at the owl and he said "Of course you may do so!" It was quite dark and I didn't want to scare the owl so I didn't use flash to take the picture.
I used sc for the eye and enhanced the colour when I processed this shot.
Btw the man assured us that the owl was born in captivity.
