Every year around Christmas time the Community Chest Fund, which is a Charity Foundation run by the Office of the President of Malta organises a swimming event. Those brave enough who participate give a donation for their participation. This year, I saw more than the usual number of participants. Although I love swimming I have never had the courage to jump in at this time of the year.
I wasn’t aware that the event would take place last Sunday but luckily I had my Panasonic with me so I could take some shots.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
We have a similar money raising event here and it's called the Polar Bear Swim. I've never participated but I have always admired those who took the plunge into the cold water. Wonderful shots and fantastic collage. :-)
@gaylewood@claudiet The water here is not exceedingly cold here in Winter - it never drops below 14 -15 C but for us it is icily cold. Last Sunday it was around 16C.
I like the little stories happening in each of these : the photographer capturing the moment, the hint that there's a wheelchair user participating and the people yet to jump in looking a little apprehensive.
Nicely done.
Cracking story telling dione
