ÓBIDOS GATE by sangwann

ÓBIDOS GATE

3rd day of our Portugal holiday during the Easter period. Still half way through processing shots taken during this holiday.

Our second stop for the day was Óbidos, a quaint old walled city with lots of character and narrow streets. This balcony is above the entry gate to the city with beautiful scenes made out of azuleo tiles. We tried the local drink Ginja and it was really good. It is drunk in a small chocolate cup which is then eaten up. I wanted to buy a bottle to take home but Christine said ‘no’ because if it broke the liqueur would ruin all the cloths we had in the luggage.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
Beautiful colors, Obidos is a very nice city.

Amazing tile work! Ginja sounds delicious! I like the idea of drinking it in a chocolate cup which is then eaten. :-)
