San Gwann Parish church is dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes and last Sunday was the day when San Gwann celebrates the feast. Again I decided to go take a shot of the interior of the church as it was adorned for the occasion – this time before going out for the evening -. Christine waited for me in the car because I left it too close to a street corner.
This is how the church altar was decorated for the occasion. There were many people outside and inside the church as if waiting for something to happen. When I asked around I came to know that the procession with the statue of the Madonna around the old part of the village had been abandoned because of the threat of rain.
