We were parked around 2 kilometres from the place where we watched the fireworks display and had to go by the Stella Maris ((Our Lady) Star of the Sea) Parish Church. The church was nicely lit and deserved being captured. Unlike most other parish churches it does not have an open space – or a square – in front of it and I didn’t have enough space to take a proper picture of it. You can see two empty columns on the parvis – they were intentioned to carry two statues which were not placed there because of the threat of rain which never came.
Stella Maris parish is the parish were I lived throughout my youth before I got married.
