From our Sicily holiday – Day 4 – 25th August, 2018
Just in front of the cathedral of Noto – on the opposite side of Noto’s main street –is Palazzo Ducezio which is the city’s town hall. It was completed in 1830 but the upper floor was built in the 1950’s.
Top left picture shows the grand hall. In right picture yours truly takes a picture of this grand mirror and clock. Opposite the mirror is a similar mirror and repeats the scene on and on.
Bottom left picture needs more explanation. In the entrance hall there was this papier mache hand pointing a finger at the entrance door. A clever guy with a camera placed this toy soldier or bust next to it to make it seem that the finger is pointing at it. The photographer was lying down on the floor with his camera to take the shot – other visitors where enjoying the scene. I asked him if I could take a shot myself and he said it was ok but I didn’t go as low as he did being afraid I would need help to get up again.
Many thanks for your views, comments and fav's. Much appreciated.
Great shot of those impressed scenes.
Making jewels I refuse to use gold for the only reason: if you use gold it`s alway`s taken as beautiful. I prefer to be judge on the design of it.
Oooo- I think that nail needs a trimming! Fun shot- did you take a picture of the other photographer taking his picture? That'd be a fun shot too. Great collage!
