I bought some postage stamps (for Malta to Malta postage) a few days ago even though we send few Christmas Cards nowadays. Electronic best wishes have taken over wishes for Christmas, a shame, but cheaper, I would say.
Thanks a lot for your views, comments and fav's. Much appreciated.
Lovely stamps. I've just posted 170 cards, all hand written like @gardenfolk too, and a newsletter with photos plus around 20 parcels to family and friends around the world. E-cards may be cheaper, but they are not so personal I think. And actually, if it costs me £2.50 sterling to send a card to New Zealand from England, that is such a bargain and less than the price of a cup of coffee. It leaves my hand and gets put into the hand of someone I love on the other side of the globe. There is no other way of doing it for such a low price. I love sending them and I love receiving little messages from all around the world. It's a special thing.
I am delighted to see that you still send cards.
@casablanca Wow...You are way ahead of me! I commend you! I haven't even started yet! LOL! Sometimes they arrive just before Christmas or sometimes it becomes a New Years card but it is still sent and received with love. This will be the 24th annual letter though I wished we had started it with our first year of marriage, 12 years prior. :)
