After we went to visit the shrine of St Rita of the impossible and having heard mass at another church we decided to have lunch in one the restaurants in Valletta. It was still early for lunch so we walked to the Upper Barrakka Garden. On the way I stopped to take a shot of the city walls including a guard post and Victoria Gate. Victoria Gate, named for Queen Victoria, replaces an older gate, the Del Monte Gate which gives access from the harbour to Valletta town centre.
As I was taking my shot this pigeon came into the frame making the picture more interesting.
