September 14th – first full day of our Sicily holiday with the family
I just don’t like waking up early in the morning but for some reason when abroad I make it a point to go out very early in the morning to capture the mood of the day in a foreign land.
I walked to the beach at Capo San Vito which was just a ten minutes walk from our lodging and was just in time to capture the sun as it showed up on the horizon. In this shot, on the left of the low wall is the sandy beach; on the right is the pavement. I liked the line of wall that separated the two sides lit by the rising sun. In fact I steadied the camera on that wall.
Had a lovely weekend in Gozo. Today going trekking with Max who has his mid-term school holidays – more photo opportunities.
