LEAVING PORT

September 17th – 5th day of our Sicily holiday with the family.
We took a day (almost) trip from Capo San Vito around the beautiful coastline of an area called Zingaro which is a nature reserve. There were some stunning views and we had some time to swim and were provided with some refreshments before returning to base. A great day to remember.
This shot is of Il Monte del Monaco as we left the marina. The hill/mountain’s name in English translates ‘the monk’s hill’. Now have a good look - do you see the monk kneeling down in prayer?
Another rainy day, today. Lots of rain this Autumn.
