Shot taken a couple of weeks ago with my Panasonic FZ45 at the Salini salt pans. Another shot of the bird I discovered there for the first time. And yes, for those who who suggested the name, it is a Sandpiper to me, too. I googled it on the net and discovered the name even before Anne ‘ace’ confirmed it.
Posting this second shot as I don’t know if I will see one again in my lifetime, though nowadays I have become interested in birdwatching.
Thank you so much for your views, comments and fav's - always appreciated.
This Sandpiper has wonderfully large eyes. I am very ignorant Rae birds...I know the general common ones but am always amazed at the wonderful birds in other countries....some are so colourful.
Great capture of this beautiful bird.
( I did buy , in a sale, for 10 € a bird feeding house with camera. Untill now I`ve captured only Tits. Lots of them, or only one many times. Can`t see the differences)
Nice shot- the diagonal composition of the cement and water adds a nice balance to the background and really makes your Sandpiper stand out. Good shot!
