ST THOMAS TOWER

In search of more watchtowers of the Knights of St John took me to Wied il-Għajn (Marsascala) to take pictures of St Thomas Tower, a robust tower covering the Wied il-Għajn and St Thomas Bays. As I knew where the tower was I stopped close to it before I continued my drive to St Thomas Bay where I had intended to park and start my walk.
This is one shot of the tower which is undergoing extensive structural renovation. For many years it served as a restaurant with open-air tables.
