This is the Xaghra (pronounced ‘Shara’) parish church at night. The church as it is today was completed in May, 1878 . It is dedicated to Our Lady of Victories. You can see the main door still open because a procession with the statues of the Holy Virgin and of Jesus was going round the town at the time. We know because we came across it while walking to our favourite restaurant in the town (remember it was a week before Easter).
