From day one of our Bosnia holiday - 8th May, 2024.
Shot taken from our coach as we were travelling to our first real stop, that is Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia Herzegovina - Sarajevo being the capital - where we were to stay for the first 3 nights of our holiday.
I always like to sit by the window when we travel and Christine is such a dear that she lets me do that every time we travel. One view I liked was this house with the falling roof. Even the pigeon was unsure whether to land on it or not.
We have been used to travel around Europe without a hassle at border control. Bosnia Herzegovina is not part of the European Union and of Schengen and so we had to go through two controls each time we crossed borders. The officers at border control were very vigilant and each time we had to get off the bus and queue to show passports until all of us were cleared. Being about 50 on the coach it took us some time, every time we crossed borders.
Thank you for your views, comments and fav's on yesterdat's picture
We have the same issues with border crossings these days since Brexit, though it is a nice return to getting interesting stamps in the passport! This house has seen better days. I wonder what stories it could tell.....
