nothing quite compares with Granny's own.....tended and gathered by Grandpa!
This takes me back to when my mum used to make it every summer too. What a lovely collage!!

She just paces herself carefully and lots have gone into the freezer for when my little nephews and nieces come on holiday. They stay a few miles away when they come but each have some pancake and jam making times with her!!

I can almost smell the raspberries cooking as I look at this! Long live these old crafts - and those that are good at them! I've got kilos of gooseberries in my fridge waiting for your Mum to come and show me how ....

@jmj now I don't think she made jam with them! She sometimes stewed them and served them with Ice-cream and/or custard. And gooseberry fool was rather nice! I used to make that years ago when the children were small!

I am salivating as I read... loooooooooooove gooseberries in any way,shape or form,but have never successfully grown any, let alone make jam with them
