It's been a busy day at school and was dull grey and wet when I got home - not really ideal for capturing something inspiring!
Then as I was putting my ironing pile upstairs - done on Fri evening is impressive for me!!! - I noticed these pottery items which I got from my gran many years ago and they seemed to smile and say 'take me! take me!'
So here they are ...........apparently dated 1920-1939 according to ebay! The things you can find out at the click of a button!
They aren't worth very much on ebay but are rather special because of seeing them when I was little and then being given them by Granny. She was also called Sarah (hence my 'official name' ) though most of my family and friends know me as Sallie!
There are lots of stories I could tell about Granny but they can wait for another time!
They are lovely!! Ebay doesn't know everything about value! Well done on the ironing - mine is piling up as the TV in the spare room is on the blink - I normally go in there to iron and watch something other than sport. By the time they come to fix it on Wednesday the situation could be completely out of hand!
I wouldn't trust ebay for determining their value, although you can't put a price on sentiment. If you know what type of pottery they are, or who made them, it's probably better to type that in google and see what sites come up. A collectible or antique expert should show up and you'll get a better idea that way. But, who can put a price tag on something that came from someone special in your life- especially your Granny! Sweet picture!

It's my mum's mum - she lived to be 98 and saw lots of her great grandchildren (in spite of some significant health issues during her 50s) but didn't quite make it into the 21st century!
The Granny in the recent picture is Allan's mum. She has 3 great grandchildren now too - Allan's sisters are both grannies now!
