saturday run by sarah19

saturday run

Woke early so decided to do my Saturday run......well to be honest it is usually more of a jog/walk or even walk/jog. Today it was interrupted by all the photo stops but nice to save for a rainy day.
You'll see it got brighter in the 40 minutes I was out .....and I love some of the little things I hear and see. Definitely a cockerel screeching as I passed one of the new housing developments! and lots of bird song, flowers and shrubs and hedges. The little stream is actually the same one that runs down the edge of our garden. The flowers in the baskets around the town have done well but are now on the way out! The Redgarth is one of our local pubs...lovely for a drink with friends or for lunch on a lazy Saturday. The forgotten house has lain empty for over ten years...long story...
And now I better go and start all the week end chores!
Thanks for coming with me on my run!
Fav! Great shot!!

What an interesting collage, and a great idea ... you had me running round in a circle following it!

@happypat @wordpixman Thank you! It's a lovely circular route! And there's a good pavement all the way so no need to run on the road! Anything between 2 and 4 miles depending on which option I choose. This morning it was just over 2 miles. Until the bypass was built about 4 years ago we didn't really have a loop walk and you always had to retrace your steps and come back the way you went. Now LOTS of people walk , run and dog walk on this loop......we see them from our dining room/sitting room and on Sundays it can be almost crowded!! Great views and usually a breeze to clear the cobwebs. All sorts of subtle differences every time you go.... typically Scottish /British with our variations in weather!

Wow! An impressive collage. I didn't realise you were an athlete!

@jmj hee hee I think athlete is overstating the case but I do like a good jog/walk in small doses. Usually just to the papershop on week days but sometimes go my 3 miles on Saturdays if we're at home and the week nights haven't been too late!! x

What lovely places you pass on your jog. Hope to see some of the pictures in large in the future? The words would stand on their own - almost a poem.
