Another train journey north and the light and colour as we reached the north end of the Caledonian Canal were so lovely!
Some day perhaps I will take courage and do the sail from one end to the other. Allan did it before we met........would be lovely if calm!!
@jmj that's a thought.....perhaps if I walked it I would get a different perspective. I'm so glad I got my camera out to catch this view....I love the colours and the 'focal point' .......not my skill just the right place and the right time!

Hi Pat......this is looking across to the Black Isle just where the Caledonian Canal reaches the Beauly Firth at this point....then becomes the Moray Firth .............. "the final lock at Clachnaharry, where the canal meets the waters of the Beauly Firth."
