Allan deciding which of the vegetables in the shelves he fancies using tomorrow!
This lovely shop in Inverurie sells amazing local vegetables and a superb range of other local products plus vegetarian, gluten-free, etc, and lovely staff to help you out!
The down side is that you have to park across the road in one of these car parks where you are 'fined' sooner than you can blink!! I stayed put and took photo!!!
1. Great soup with some of the veg! The carrots smelled like they were straight out of the soil!
2. The turnip I bought here last week has been an inspiration in the sand tray in my classroom along with some playmobil people to recreate the story of the Enormous Turnip! What fun and great role play has been going on.
3. Jonathan was here when we got back....he'd cycled out ..........but was so wild and blustery when he was heading in that he called to ask me to pick him up and take him in to town! So of course I did!! That's what mums are for!!!
Of course Sallie...give Jonathan my regards...still cycling then!! Fresh veg are so different from stuff that's been out in a supermarket for days......even Booths are lovely local supermarket doesn't come anywhere near the little veg shop in the village.

Thank you :) Yes Pat he's back on the bike but hadn't been for quite some months as his 'new' job has a different rhythm!! Doing fine though!
When I was little I'd heard of the term "green grocer" now I've actually seen one! I do envy your closeness to actually being able to get fresh vegetables!
Great capture, sounds like a wonderful shop. I like your turnip in the sand tray idea - wish I'd thought of that one! I tried looking up Matheson Lake on Wikipedia but no joy.
