My lens was steaming up a little as we headed home after a weekend in Glenelg with my sister. We wondered yesterday if we would actually get out of the glen today as the snow kept falling and the road out is over the Mam Ratagan pass to Shiel Bridge, a great drive with hairpin bends rising to 1116 feet, and offering some of the best views in Scotland.
So good to see the sun shining at this point in the day but the schools in the area were closed due to the road conditions and weather forecast.
Three good things
1. Black roads pretty much ....though rather a lot of potholes to avoid when we got to the main road!
2. Relaxing weekend, great food and super company! My nephew was just home after a climbing expedition to Tasmania.
3. Home in sunshine. I love the views in the west of Scotland but I am always glad to get back to the big skies and lower hills near home.
