Up early and into the garden......everything is so dry in comparison with our usual conditions! But I got the potatoes earthed up again and bought a long garden hose so I could water everything effectively. Lots of digging and weeding and refreshing the rose bed....just a final section to do next time! It's all looking a lot better. I don't remember Dad ever having to water the potato plants but I have no complaints as I love the sunshine and the digging has been easier than waterlogged garden. Must be a happy medium somewhere!!
Three good things
1. Lovely coffee and cakes with mum and her friend Sheila. She appreciates these Saturday sessions so much. She lives alone and Mum phones her every morning and evening 😊
2. Kevin at the garden centre is a gem. He took the time to fit the adapter bits onto the hose I bought. Above and beyond!!!
3. A lovely drive to Dornoch, book shop visit, ice cream and a pop in to a favourite shop......saw lots but didn't spend any money.
It's funny how some days so much can be crammed into the hours and other days seem to fritter away. Today I was in my element 😁
