We've just had such a lovely evening! On Monday he started back at his old job....
two years after being made redundant they need him back. It's a good feeling and he's had a wonderful time as a gardener for most of that time....so win all round.
And on Wednesday I got a txt msg to say Eat on The Green was booked!! It's a lovely lovely award winning restaurant just along from where I go for my Pilates class. We've not eaten there for a while and it was so lovely to be back.
Everything was just delightful and delicious....canapes, salmon starter, beetroot salad starter, duck.....Oh it was so tasty and the fish dish was outstanding. ..and the lemon and ginger cheesecake.....and the cheeses....
No wonder he is smiling.
Three good things
1. Struggled through the day with a cold but perked up at the right time!
2. A glorious day and evening.
3. Taxi home.....can collect the car in the morning.
@happypat It's really great.......like the two years were a gift to enjoy life differently and now appreciating the things he knows well and a salary again....maybe get to Melbourne sooner than expected!!
