The mountains of the North West - some of the oldest rocks in the world - are pretty awesome.
After a lovely morning - great breakfast, pottering around in the village, watching the travellers from the huge cruise liner Europa come ashore in the little boats and head off on their coach tours - we drove north to Lochinver. There's a fabulous pottery there....we bought some!.... and had coffee at the very special pie shop on the main street!
Three good things
1. Finding treasure to remember special days - a beautiful clock, handmade from driftwood collected on the Summer Isles, a little north.
2. Great food, beautiful pottery and new silver earrings
3. A visit to one of Allan's choir friends in their awesome new house with spectacular views just beyond the edge of the town.
