The ferry to the Western Isles

This is the 'Loch Seaforth' as it arrived at Ullapool the day we travelled for a few days of calm after the whirlwind of a summer!
It's predecessor sailed from Kyle of Lochalsh to Stornoway when I was a little girl. A much longer journey (four and a half hours ) and often i was seasick!
So beautiful to see the flowers in lovely gardens and planters along the front near the pier.
Three good things
1. A great sleep and then a busy day.
2. Shopping time and 4 samples of wallpaper to make decisions about the lounge wall.....new fire installed last week.
3. Good walk with a friend, glass of wine and Gardeners World on TV.
So beautiful and inviting looking.

Lovely scene and good DOF. I've been in the Kyle of lochalsh in a rental car which got two punctures so we never got to see Skye that trip!
