I love this photo that Allan took the first evening in Ullapool. I felt that my favourite colours have grown out of lovely West of Scotland experiences and I just feel that I 'fit in' there.
That summer of 76 was formative in so many ways .....first time for lots of things, and met SO many interesting people. Five of us shared a flat above the shop where we worked (after a few weeks in a caravan before the flat was ready). I remember one was Mary from near the Lake District, and one from Edinburgh- Lucy Peploe- from a family of famous artists but sadly don't recall the names of the others and never met any of them again. Life was so different before social media etc!!
Now unpacked and partly ready for school on Monday. ....fastest six weeks ever!!!!
Three good things
1. Collected my new car today....more later!
2. Collected my new 'close work/ reading / computer ' glasses at the optician's this afternoon
3. Curling up for a quiet evening 😊
