Fading light

It's been a glorious day. Just perfect for some serious gardening as I haven't been able to do much for the last month.
But today I did some work at the front of the house, then shopping in Inverurie....to take to daughter in far away territory....and then four hours digging out rampant weeds. I should sleep well tonight.
Three good things
1 The Helibores I planted last year look like they're happy where they are and flourishing.
2. New wellies for the garden. Junior ones fitted perfectly and only £9.95!!!! Certainly didn't need the Barbour ones which were ten times the price.
3. Allan had his hair cut really well. Watching the barber was awesome. Place is called Ace of Blades!!!!
Sounds like you're getting all ready for your trip....exciting times, I love that period of getting things sorted & the anticipation of seeing loved ones. Have to leave the garden all ready for winter!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I love our garden though really too much work the way life is at the moment. Still a few pots to sort out before flying off to visit family.

How pretty and peaceful, especially with the sunlight streaming across the lawn.

@pdulis @allie912 thank you! Our lovely neighbour has been busy cutting back his hedge so that makes a difference to everything too.
