Erica corner by sarah19

Erica corner

In spite of the breeze and drizzle I popped outside and quickly planted some new items from the garden centre. I used a voucher that I was given by a group of friends for my 60th birthday....two years ago!! It was due to run out in December! Anyway, we got a great deal as there was 40% off quite a lot of plants. Erica (heather) had been in the garden when we moved here but had become so overgrown years ago that we dug them all out!
The semicircle in front is part of the stump of the beech tree that was taken down a year ago. And there is a Pieris and a mini rhododendron in there too. Hope they like each others company!
Three good things
1. Chat with Laura in Melbourne on Skype this morning......
2. Cosy clothes......so chilly and damp out today.
3. Hope....... and Iooking forward to how they do after all my digging and weeding yesterday!
Looks like you created a little sanctuary.

The heathers look fantastic there Sallie, they should be fine while you are away at this time of the year!

A lovely corner

Your garden must be a bit like ours with two large trees removed! Have to dig through roots though, to plant other plants!

Love the combination of colors - wish I had the ability to put together such a nice little spot in my yard. This will be such a pleasure.
