At last I'm making some progress on the cards and letters ...... I love keeping in touch with friends who are not on social media etc especially those who have known the children, or even me!!, since baby days.
Three good things
1. Lovely nativity by the children at church this morning.
2. Fabulous lamb dish for dinner....
Port, prunes, shallots and lovely Christmas spices. Hurrah for Nigel Slater on TV yesterday and computer link so Allan could follow the procedure.
3. Long chat with Susannah in Amsterdam. She's hilarious...flying to Edinburgh on Wednesday and busy catching up with lots of friends as soon as she touches down!!
Ah, yes, I just got all my cards off in the mail on Friday. I enjoy it too, although hubby thinks I'm potty sending cards all over the world. But I was an avid penpal when I was young ... so I'm sure there's a link. I had ten - and I can still remember their names. In fact, I found one of them on FB a few years back. A Finnish girl, called Pirjo, who's now married with 5 kids and living in Spain. I'd love to get in touch with the others, but sadly haven't been able to find them.
