Visit to Huntly

Allan was meeting some 'Bremners' today - all new faces linked by one who lives in Canada and is over exploring family connections!
So I went and browsed around this very pretty little town. It has an ancient castle and memorials to Dukes and regiments with the GORDON name, and schools there carry this too - Gordon Primary and The Gordon Schools (Secondary).
From the castle the town is approached via a tree-lined avenue (top left), buildings part of the school and in the archway are the memorials. The willow arch is in a lovely play area near the Linden Centre where lots of groups meet.
I enjoyed hearing the little girls in their play castle as I walked down to the ancient structure - the deer memorial was erected in 2000 to commemorate the North East's own regiment The Gordon Highlanders - 1794 - 1994. They have now been merged with other regiments.
And the sun was shining quite a lot which was a treat!
Very interesting. Great collage and pictures!

A superb collage. Was it you I asked about which programme you are using for the collage option? I'm missing the Picnik site for making collages.
