I've driven past this field so many times in the last couple of weeks and today, at last, I walked along to take a photo of it!
It's a field of oilseed just on the edge of our little town.
The buidings in the distance consist of a farm house and a developed steading - where friends of ours live.
I loved the view - they were so creative in the way they made it their home.
I have memories of very happy parties for their mum who is one of my best friends....(and her husband!)
And the light
And the sky
and some other photos I took on the way
all made the little journey to take this photo
one of the positive parts of my day.
And when I got back there was another positive
new recipe steak for lunch

But interested especially as my son was teaching in Kuala Lumpur for two years - moved last month to Kiev, Ukraine...rather different!
So many of the pictures and names seem familiar from his blogs, emails, etc!
And then curiously I find some shared friends!!!
365 is a great world!
And the sunshine too Sallie, about the only place it has been dry probably !!! This is a lovely sunshiny picture to cheer us all up & your happy thoughts are a tonic !
This is a lovely picture of rape and I think it's wonderful that you share your feelings of gratitude with us all, thank you. I too would have to walk to get a picture of a rape field but along a very busy road, I'm not sure I will be able to.
