Yesterday - not sure where - I saw someone had arranged their books by colour. I used to do that when I was young.
So today I rearranged the ones in my bedside book case!
It's very tall and narrow but the collage layout seemed to do the trick!
LOVE this, Sarah! Your presentation is beautiful ... I love books! I could gaze at this forever and pick out the ones that I'd love to read. Books have always been a huge part of my life. Arrangement here is fantastic.

Thanks to you all! I just had to do it! I wonder if my husband will notice as he is out at choir tonight so hasn't been home!
And I wondered if I would have more blue books -blue being my favourite colour - but no...........in fact I seem quite balanced!!! That's a relief! ;)
A great way to display your books & they look very pretty! it helps that you have smaller divisions to colour code into ! i have spent the last few minutes with my head on one side reading your titles !!!! One of my favourites there too...A Thousand Splendid Suns !!!
Yes you are very balanced in that you read books with blue, white, red and yellow spines in equal measure, I'm not sure if I'm balanced in that way or not, I may have to try this myself!! Other people's books are so interesting!
PS, I'm really enjoying 'The Power of Threee' that you recommended, I'm about a third of the way through it, appropriately enough!
An interesting and colourful idea! - My problem is that I always have far more books than shelf space, so our bookshelves are never properly sorted! - and my wife is as bad as I am for continually acquiring more!!
@if1 Thanks Ian. Our book cases are all two deep as well! But getting rid of books is a major trauma! My intention/idea!!! is - sometime!!!! - to arrange the books at the back, take a photo of them, and then fill the front! That way I have a record of what is where.
Of course whether I will ever get round to it is quite another matter!!!
Anyway fun to share!
