It's a very damp, misty, chilly day after a wet night!
While on the phone I was looking out the window and saw this little baby bird hopping about looking lost.
Don't think I've ever seen one this tiny before!
When I went outside to take the picture I could hear two parent birds trying to distract me in case I harmed their little one! You can see the chaffinch near the top of my ornamental pear tree and he sat there chirping away until I was well inside again! Hope the little one survives!
glad to say he had disappeared when I looked out later so hope for the best!
