Pitmedden Festival 2 by sarah19

Pitmedden Festival 2

Today we went back! It had been very wet and though we had volunteered to be 'stewards' there was little need as there were so few folk around the garden for the first part of the afternoon.
There was lovely music though!
Three musicians played in the Thunder House! - soprano, baroque violinist and viola de gamba player - presenting a selection of catatas and songs from the 17th century - the kind of music that would have been played in the building in its early days.
And later in the Marquee there was Ellyn, a friend of Susannah's who we've known since she was little, singing superbly with some friends accompanying her - David, Andrew and Tim.
And the rain cleared before we left for home!
Hope it stays off for those attending the evening event.
Lots of cheerful faces in spite of the rain!! Lovely collage of the happy time!

It looks a lovely event, I like the cello picture best but I am biased as Bethan plays the cello!

Such a shame it had to rain. It looks like it could have been a fantastic event. Probably still was
