Yesterday I was in Glasgow for a few hours learning some stuff for a course I'm doing by distance learning this year!
The afternoon in the Computer Suite was slightly tricky as the construction work going on outside was pretty noisy.
Once upon a time the hole was filled with the maternity hospital - Rottenrow to name! - where Allan was born! Not sure what is being built.
Something exciting & worthwhile I hope!! It looks boat shaped!! I know a friend of Lydias & Cathy's best friends daughter who is studying Prosthetic s at Strathclyde & Lydia really fancies going there to do Speech Therapy.
@happypat Glasgow is quite a place to study! It was very funny yesterday as the lovely young girl I sat beside had actually been in David's B Ed course and knew him well!!!
David passes here everyday. We know a professor at Strathclyde University who told him that this new building will be for research and will be partnership between industry and science.
@louisefrance Thanks for the info! I'm sure everyone will be grateful when the building is completed! It's not a part of the city I know at all! Isn't it funny how we think we know a place but only know familiar routes and landmarks!
