We spent Friday evening at Pitmedden Garden Music Festival.
Modhan (top and middle - wide photos) were brilliant. The 4 guys in the band were local (Udny, Methlick, Pitmedden) and their fiddler was from Cornwall but they had all studied in Edinburgh!
Modhan is Gaelic for 'Sound of the music/bagpipes, etc' - the pig logo was just something they liked!!!
The Davidson boys from Tarves were superb fiddlers and the Tarves Folk Group and friends did a pretty good job to start the evening off.
In spite of the weather being rather wet it was a brilliant evening for all ages and the car park (field) wasn't too muddy! Hope it survives for today as there was a lot more rain last night!
Great collage! I love to see photos of musicians actually playing their instruments, so often its not allowed in bigger venues or when children are playing.
