Allan took this photo when we went to Pitmedden today. I think it's one of my 'happy places' as over the years the family have spent time at weekends there, Jonathan worked there for a summer and Allan worked there for almost two years and still volunteers when special events are on.
It was lovely to be back in the garden even though lots of areas simply show signs of major structural work rather than the riot of colour we are used to. But all for the good!
I particularly love the arch ....and we have several photos taken there, some with Connor and Finnley and some just one or two of us.
It's been a happy weekend. I think being out in our great green space, with happy events to plan for, has been a really special time.
