School is over for another year

Stayed to finish tidy up but got away at 4.30 so that is me till August. Takes a while to get my head into holiday mode as so much catch up to do in house and garden! But first reading in sunshine.
Three good things
1. Susannah's Birthday. ..my baby is 24....too fast!
2. Grateful parents. ...some were even tearful as moving up is a big deal after being with me for over two years. And I've loved it most of the time!
3. Home from school for 6 weeks.
One needs time to rewind after a busy term , and end of school year ! A good start feet up and a good book !!

Take time to unwind Sallie......schools out but you will still have stuff to,prepare no doubt! I always found my kids never knew what to do with thenselves for a few days until they settled into the holidays....same with you probably! Happy birthday Susannah.......about four or five when I first saw you I reckon!

Nice to be appreciated - quite right too! I have read in the garden but may be regretting it soon when I can't ignore all the other stuff!

@beryl @happypat @gijsje @snowy @busylady @judithg
thank you for your lovely comments. .....it was lovely to watch some tennis, sit and read in the sun and have tea on the table when I came in. Later had a bonfire of garden debris. ...forecast wet weather tomorrow! Looks like I may get caught up with the backlog of housework before Susannah arrives late afternoon! 😊

Great way to start your holidays and begin to wind down. Love the way you have captured the mood. Where have the years gone I remember you had Susannah in the pram when we waved the boys off on a school trip.

@elmay isn't it funny the things we remember! I'd completely forgotten about that but your right....He was 8 when Susannah was born and she'd have been in her pram /buggy when they had their trip.....did they have P6 one as weĺl/ instead of P7? Doesn't matter really. She's a lot of fun and very like David in many ways!!!!
