And a wee break with a delicious fruit and almond cake at Brodie Country Fare ....The half way stop on the way to Mum and Dad's. I usually take the train after work but with it being the holidays Allan suggested I give my car a good long run!
Three good things
1. Dry all the way and not too much traffic for my journey.
2. Busy in the garden with Dad, putting straw and net on his strawberry patch.
3. Ready for an early night!!! Feels like two days in one as I did lots at home before I left and then a different kind of activity when I reached 'home2' !
@beryl@gijsje@dide thank you for your lovely comments. It's funny when you arrive at destination early in the day.....makes it feel a long day, but I crammed a lot into this one 😁
It's about a 3 hour drive so not too long really but because I don't really drive very much these days it is quite daunting until I actually get behind the wheel. The radio on and some music to play makes the journey pass quite quickly! And coffee /tea stops always good idea. 😁
I love being able to come and they are so appreciative it's very easy!
@happypat thank you Pat! They are very good to visit and put no pressure on me to do anything but I'm not very good at sitting still for long and what takes me ten minutes often is a major activity for mum now.....e.g. changing bedlinen. ...or putting on strawberry net for dad! I couldn't have done it myself but even though he's a maths teacher he agrees that 1+1= much more than two😊 hee hee!
One of our favourite stops when we go to see Jim's relatives in Nairn. You have had a busy day but as you say wee jobs that are easy for us can be a major chore as you get older.
