stone circle end of summer by sarah19

stone circle end of summer

We had a lovely walk this afternoon to a stone circle not far from home. There were lots of muddy places after all the rain yesterday but the air was fresh and a gentle breeze added to the feel of it all. And it was a happy day together. Just what I needed at the end of the school holidays! Back to work tomorrow.
Three good things
1. Happy days
2. Church and friends to share and chat
3. Summer holidays - it's been so busy this year but in the nicest way. And it will be good to see colleagues tomorrow, and children on Tuesday!
Your last bit of summer holiday! You both look very relaxed & as usual your forte is this excellent collage! Terrible to think your school is starting already! Where has the time gone!

So interesting that we start back at the same time. In Texas (public school) we have a whole week before kids come back. And many teachers have been working on their rooms for weeks.

@nana2r Scottish Schools finish early July and back 6 weeks later....or 7 every 7th year or something like that, which is always a bonus.
Once upon a time I used to go in during holidays but workload is so heavy during term times I resist now. Also getting to know the children is the key thing and we can enjoy these settling in days.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We did enjoy the afternoon and gentle pace this weekend after quite a few busy ones.
