After work we drove to Nairn on the Moray Firth coast, to a favourite hotel where we have spent occasional weekends as a treat in recent years.
This treat was a birthday present from 'the B team' so it was even more special!!
The colourful border as we arrived was really uplifting and we had a fabulous room overlooking the sea with a grand four poster bed and lovely setting! And a delicious taster menu - six 'courses' with just small helpings and no sense of 'far too much' when it is finished. There is a regular sized menu too if that's what diners prefer!
