Master gardener and the apprentice

Well I did okay! Dad's coming to terms with having most of his garden grassed over.....After 59 years of vegetable growing that is not just easy. ...but I planted 4 rows of potatoes for him on Saturday afternoon and he said I'd done a good job and he should have hired me years ago 😊😊😊😊
Three good things
1 a lovely weekend and got so much done
2. Coming away always feels better when I've done things that make a difference
3 the beautiful beech tree leaves were opening but I forgot to take photo
Well Sallie I am amazed at the amount of veg garden your dad still has! So glad he has his potatoes in!

I agree with Pat. Lots of work to be done there, isn't it?

@happypat @gijsje Thank you for your lovely comments . It is a huge garden but is very easily dug and planted as it's been so well cared for over a long time. Also the gardener had rotivated on Friday so all I needed was a stick to make holes! 😁😁

Good on you - a big job, but your dad sounds pleased.

How nice! There's something satisfying about growing veg. It can't be easy to have to give it up.
