The flowers in Oldmeldrum are stunning this summer even though we have had rather moderate sunshine and some significant downpours.
Stopped to get a few photos on my way to the papershop today. Too many people around to select the best view but think this one catches the feel of everything.
Three good things
1. Our good friend Charlie came and took all our leftover garden debris to the dump/recycling centre. Allan helped him load up and unload at the other end.
2. Lovely lunchtime and afternoon with 'the other grandparents ' before they headed for their airport hotel and an early night.....flying home in the morning.
3. Great scones....so glad they were successful. ....with cream and strawberries!

It is a lovely little town and not to far too travel for things we can't actually get here - fantastic butcher, nice little flower shop, amazing furniture and hardware store and two fish vans call at the square each week. Great schools and good friends at church and other community meetings!
But not somewhere our children will ever return to live ..........!
@jmj Thank you Jenny....there is a lot of competition around the area and they usually do very well here!! I think the flowers are particularly lush this year and a great team of volunteers!!
